Best Job in the World

A couple of weeks ago, you may have heard about a job as caretaker of an island off of the Australian coast. Well, I know a woman who submitted a video application to be considered for the job. Hi Friends and Family -

Some of you know that I have recently decided that applying for the "best job in the world" (you heard about it, I am sure, as "caretaker" (aka blogger) for Hamilton Island off the coast of Australia.

Tens of thousand of people have applied with a 60 second video for their chance to live on the island for 6 months AND get paid for it. I view it as a great opportunity to launch a travel writing career, which is really, my dream job.

Today I received confirmation that my application was accepted. Between now and March 2, people will have the opportunity to vote for my video as a candidate. If I am one of the 50 finalists, I will begin the interview process which will include a trip to Queensland Australia.
